  1. Current obsessions, ordered from raging to moderate.

    1. Anthony Bourdain.

Nobody wants to hear what I have to say about Anthony Bourdain, so I just won't.

    2. Victoria's Secret swimwear specials.

Currently, this triangle string bikini (Item 8S-219-044) is $5.99 - a SUBSTANTIAL discount from its usual price - and when coupled with a Free Shipping On Swimwear offer and Free Beach Tote With Any Beach Sexy Purchase offer, you get what would normally be around a $70.00 order for a grand total of $6.35. You can't beat that with a stick. You can't beat it with someone else's stick, either. It's unbeatable.

    3. Hot rollers.

I picked up an incredibly useful travel roller set on a recent shopping trip. It's small enough to fit in your suitcase - hell, it's small enough to fit in your PURSE. It works amazingly fast, and the curls lasted forever - a small miracle considering the amount of hair I'm working with.

    4. Random pointless animal videos.

The only thing better than a video of a cat, or a video of a goat, is a video of both a cat AND a goat. Suck on that, Marty Stouffer.

    5. The gym. If I miss a workout during the week, I've taken to getting up early on Saturday to go work out. I even change out of my pajamas! In my defense, as much as the actual working out sucks, when it's over I do feel much, much better.

You asked for it, so here it is ... the RSS feed is still fucked (last 20 posts reappear), and the comment threads seem to have disappeared from all the archive posts -- is that intentional? It would be a shame for all the nutsack song suggestions, e.g., to go.

Wow, that a helluva curl job y'got there. Something small did something that big? Impressive!

And there's no way I'm showing Brenda the video. She'll want fuzzy baby farm animals if I do that.

RSS: When you pointed out that there was a problem previously, I had also seen it happening, and I found that there was an oversight in the code which creates the RSS feed. I believe that I fixed that, but I will look into it again and see if I can get to the bottom of that issue. I have noticed that something is awry, but it's not doing quite the same thing for me now. Are you sure that it's 20 items? If I remember correctly, which I often don't, I believe that the feed only dredges up the latest 10 posts.

Archives: I'm on it. It wasn't intentional, just an oversight.

Thanks, though. I'll try and sort these and a few other things out early this week, if I start feeling a bit better.

Come on, you know you want a fuzzy baby goat!

Still no? How about if we throw in free shipping and a special bonus good-for-nothing rooster?

    5. erat Monday February 25th at 8:31pm

Throw in a free sloth or two and we may have a deal.

    6. The Reverend Elvis D. Tuesday February 26th at 4:00pm

I'd gladly take the baby goat and the rooster, James. But the house's boss (aka Priscilla D.) said no.

Apparently she thinks eight cats and two dogs is enough, but I firmly disagree.

(I wish we were modern enough to put home movies on the web. We have a classic footage of our white cat outside playing with some deer in the backyard. No shit.)
