Better late than never
I have some belated thanks to pass on to two WV bloggers I visit on a regular basis - Hoyt and Elvis - for tagging me with that Freaky Purple Lion in my semi-absence. Aww, thanks, guys! You both rock. Really, thank you.
I'm supposed to pass it on to five other people. However, I'm so late getting to this, that every blogger in the entire state appears to have already been tagged at this point. So I'm just going to let the purple lion hang out here.
I will, however, pass on three tips for blogging, with the disclaimer that blogging Jennyville-style is actually a pretty haphazard operation, and we do not recommend that anyone try this particular brand of dumbassery at home.
1. Write about things that interest you, even if you don't think anyone else will be interested. Otherwise, you could come across as insincere or forced, both of which probably aren't what you're aiming for. I hope. Because as far as I know, there's no market for that. (Then again, I *have* been surprised before... just look at Cocktacle Porn.) Anyway, the point I'm trying to make is that genuine interest and/or sincerity can often make up what your topic might be lacking. And it's much more fun that way.
2. Be comfortable in your own blogging skin. Don't be afraid to be yourself... and don't be afraid to laugh at yourself, either. (Here at Jennyville, the latter is often a direct result of the former... and I'm totally okay with that.)
3. If all else fails, I hear boobs are popular these days.

This blog is one of the first places I come when I ain't feeling so hot about things. A good smile is unappreciated in this hectic era of consumer madness.
