I warned you.

I don't know why anybody wants to see all the boring videos I take around here, but... whatever.

I'll start you off with a (very) short video of what happens around here every weekend from about mid-August to October:

Now imagine a few straight hours of that. Thrilling!

Also? The first person to bring up a log splitter WILL be mercilessly made fun of and called a big gaping vagina. Just so you know.

Here's another incredibly interesting - and short - video of a conference I attended.

If I thought I could've turned the laptop around and videotaped the actual seminar, I would've; but, I had to sneak this one pretty quickly. Now, just imagine a whole day of pretty much just this, hungover.
Disneyland, it ain't.

And this one... Well... I'm one of those people who has to turn the music up and rock out the whole way to work just to be able to get myself in the door. Some mornings suck harder than others, in which case I have to crank up the Saxondale ? theme song (aka "House of the King" by Focus). I'm not driving a yellow vintage mustang with racing stripes, but, my car will do.

Are you asleep yet? I sure am. Works every time.

  Two things I like about these videos:
  
  1. Instead of geeking out or otherwise trying to be entertaining, you go in the opposite direction and capture totally mundane moments. I think the video of you at the conference is the best of the bunch.
  
  2. I'm left wondering what kind of foam lobster hat or tiara you're wearing. Other than a momentary glimpse in your lumberjack video (which reminds me: I have wood out back that I need to cut up) you don't exist above your nose.
  
  Okay, one more:
  
  3. Your car has a manual transmission. Gotta love that.

  There are a very few people, who actually know who that voice in the background of second video is, not mention when and where it was taken, so be nice to me, your going to be so totally busted.....lol

  Um.. well yeah that just sucked didn't it. He won that out of the State Office drawing which of course he's really not, I say he's regional. Of course had he not won he would have just went all ninja in the parking lot and taken it anyway....

  Ever thought of getting a a log splitter. (Just kidding- but for the record, my old man would give you hell for not positioning your legs in the right way for maximum wood splitting impact. That's why I try to get ours all done before he gets comes out here.)

  I can appreciate your old man's wood-splitting-technique integrity, but what you really can't tell from that video is that the mountainside I am standing on was at, like, a 45 degree angle-ish. My legs, by default, were required to be positioned in "avoid falling flat on ass" mode. Tell me about this maximum wood-splitting impact stance, though, so I can make sure I'm doing it properly on flat ground. :D

  Actually, he would say your feet need to be spread farther apart- but the guy is real asshole, so don't pay him no mind. I sure don't (because I see no reason to end such a longstanding tradition).
  
  Well, I got to get my ass to bed. I start a new job tomorrow. I've been laying there thinking about Shiny, Shiny Pants and the perfect album thread. Seriously, I think my brain is broken.
