  1. Saxondale: NBC's Next Office-like Hit Import?

    While searching for various assorted Saxondale-related items online last night, I came across this news article that nearly made me pee myself (in a very good way).

    Well, it's official. The next time I'm on one of my rants about how American television is so crappy (which I haven't done for about 15 minutes, so I'm due for another any second now) I'm going to have to start ending it with "except NBC, with whom I'd like to make out HARD."

    First, they ran the US remake of The Office and now, not only are they remaking Saxondale for US audiences, the article mentions that Steve Coogan's production company, Baby Cow, is going to be working on shows for NBC. Shows! Plural! OH! MY! GOD!

    I haven't seen any specific ETA for the US remake yet, but for the time being, I'm watching the hell out of the original which airs on BBC2.


    Tommy Saxondale, by the way, has just a BIT of an anger management problem.

    I can't wait to see how this translates, but since Coogan himself is involved, I have incredibly high hopes for the show. For those of you who enjoyed The Office, this is one show you'll want to keep an eye out for.
